On October 3rd, my wonderful sister had her 3rd child, Odin. He is perfect and yet another beautiful gift to be thankful for. That same day, Sephine's port and feeding tube were surgically removed, making it yet another step to a realization that this chapter has ended. Having both events on the same day made for blessed occurrence. We celebrate the lives that were new and renewed that day.
Also this month, on October 9th my brother Erik was ordained, becoming Reverend Erik P. Wiebe. His life has become full and amazing in so many ways. We celebrate him and his ministry both past and present and future.
Our family went on a week long vacation from October 8-15 where we able to "be" with these events. We are so thankful for all that we have been given! We celebrate all these gifts.
Last year on this day Sephine was diagnosed with cancer. I am thankful and I am ecstatic and I am overjoyed. I am reminded of the song from Fiddler on the Roof called "To Life"
"May all your futures be pleasant ones...to LIFE!"
